Not an anxiety backpack! A gift for children in need.

Before the first of September, we teamed up with the Trinity Ukraine charity foundation and the Save Ukraine foundation and decided to support the children who had experienced the worst - they were abducted by Russia and lived in the enemy's territory. Fortunately, the children have been returned and are now facing an important stage - reintegration and starting school.

To encourage and help them, we prepared educational kits for the start of the new school year. Red backpacks with reflective elements, made in cooperation with the YES accessories brand, stationery, notebooks, pens, pencils and a schedule for writing down tasks - all this is part of a gift set that motivates children to learn. They are also motivated by extracurricular activities, so we organize excursions for schoolchildren to restaurants to show them the inside of the most delicious crispy chicken.

The children who received the gift school kits live in hubs for internally displaced persons. In total, about 70 children live there, 40 of whom are aged 5 to 17. However, the number of children is constantly changing due to the dynamic circumstances: some families are undergoing rehabilitation, finding work, housing and starting a new life. In addition, the process of evacuating and returning children from families that were forcibly deported, as well as children left without parental care, is ongoing.

KFC Ukraine actively supports other social initiatives during the war. Together with the savED Foundation, the company raised more than UAH 4.5 million to rebuild shelters in schools in the frontline regions, providing safe conditions for children to study safely.
